What does SDH mean?
SDH stands for Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. These tracks can include speaker identification and relevant non-speech sounds.
Can I assign speakers now?
Yes. You can manually assign a speaker to any subtitle in the editor.
Are sound tags generated automatically?
Not yet. Automatic tags such as [MUSIC], (APPLAUSE) and [LAUGHTER] are coming soon.
Is automatic speaker detection available for SDH?
Not yet. Automatic SDH speaker labels and new subtitles on speaker changes are coming soon. Dubbing has its own speaker-detection controls.
How can I edit many bracketed tags?
Use find and replace in “between” mode to edit or remove text between brackets across the track.
Does the Formatting check approve an SDH delivery?
No. It flags stray brackets and punctuation. A specialist still needs to review the content and the delivery requirements.
